Question 1: What is the purpose of the shallow-water filter?
A: This filter was created to clean water for shallow water enclosures, or enclosures with water features, for frogs and lizards. We are also working on add-ons to clean water bowls, removing the burden of refilling them daily.

Question 2: How is this item better than other filters?
A: Compared to other filters, ours can operate in very shallow waters, optimal for smaller amphibians. Additionally, instead of having a plastic feel, it is designed to blend in with its natural surroundings.

Question 3: What is the depth of water the filter will work in?
A: The max depth is 2.75 inches and the minimum depth is 0.5 inches. This also coincides with the ideal depth for animals like frogs, turtles, and lizards.

Question 4: Will the filter be 3D-printed?
A: Yes. It will be created from high-quality materials and will be absolutely aquarium-safe and tested. It will be surrounded by real natural gravel.

Question 5: Does filter media come with the Waterfall filter?
A: Yes. The filter comes filled with media, including HydroHaven mechanical filtration sponges, carbon chemical filtration sponges, and biological filtration media. Additional filter media could be purchased from the website.

Question 6: What is going to be improved from the prototype?
A: The appearance will be improved by blending in the silicone more seamlessly. Sand will be added along with other designs to make the filter more functional.
